Soviet Israel was founded on Zionist-Marxist principles.

Poale Zion was a political movement and paramilitary outfit made up of Marxist–Zionist jewish workers and activists founded in various cities of Poland, Central Europe and the Russian Empire. Poale Zion parties and organizations started popping up throughout the Jewish diaspora in the early 20th century. A branch of Poale Zion came into existence in New York City in 1903. By 1907, the party had 25,000 members in Russia, many of whom had participated in the failed 1905 communist revolution including Israeli founding PM, and JFK assassination architect David Ben Gurion. By the 1910’s, Poale Zion quickly went global with chapters sprouting up across Europe, America, and even Palestine.

In 1907 the  World Union of Poale Zion was formed. The first World Congress took place in August 1907 in The Hague (where the UN headquarters resides). Its second congress in 1909 in Kraków emphasized practical socialist projects in Palestine, further congresses followed in Vienna (1911 and 1920) and Stockholm (1919). David Ben Gurion was elected to a leadership position in the movement and oversaw the development of the socialist Kibbutzim networks in Palestine (which were financed by the Rothschild family) that served as armed jewish communes/settlements that function based on communistic and socialist values.

In Russia, the Poale Zion participated in the Bolshevik Revolution and organized a brigade of Poale Zion activists that fought in Trotsky’s Red army. Many members of Poale Zion were also incorporated into the Cheka and helped carry out the bloody Red Terror. Many Zionist organizations had been closed down by the Soviets by 1919, but Poale Zion remained untouched because it was recognized as a Communist party, and functioned as an arm of the State.

After World War I, David Ben-Gurion integrated most of Poale Zion in Palestine into Ahdut HaAvoda and the Mapai party, both socialist labor Zionist parties that later served as Soviet Israel’s ruling coalition parties from 1947 to 1972.

Today the Poale Zion party still exists and is represented within the World Zionist Organization by the World Labour Zionist Movement. They also have a seat at Socialist International and were a part of the Comintern until the USSR “collapsed.” The accomplishments and legacy of Poale Zion are celebrated yearly by the World Jewish Congress at its annual conference, which by the way, is led by Mossad/KGB operative and 9/11 suspect Ronald Lauder.
